Once Upon A Time, there was a young boy who hailed from the forest…Link is the wielder of the Master Sword, chosen hero of legend, and bearer of the Triforce of Courage. Having traversed through the storms of time itself to save the land of Hyrule, he would come to be known as “The Hero of Time” to all within that timeline; Having braved the ever shifting sea of time yet again to save the land of Termina, it was with gradual acceptance and understanding that his name would fade from the memory of those he knew yet again, though not without its gradual burden weighing upon the boy’s shoulders. With little direction and even less answers to the questions of his heart, the boy grew from the bright-eyed child who once yearned for his own fairy companion, into a teen burdened with inner turmoil and emotions left unresolved. After years of searching for a beloved and invaluable friend only to remain empty handed, it was finally time to grow up (again) and find a new purpose in the life he was returned to.Having been offered to become Princess Zelda’s royal emissary and traveling knight (in training only in title alone), Link was given something new to work towards, as well as a means to continue doing the thing he was most familiar with: Keeping the people of Hyrule safe. Difficult though it may be to forget about his old fay companion, the daily task of aiding those in need, inspecting the temples scattered across the land, on top of whatever request the princess may have for him, were all great contributing factors in keeping his emotional heart distracted from the pain of her loss.It is a fact, however, that Link never truly forgets… and on the more difficult nights… it is all he thinks about.With age comes a renewed sense of maturity, though should one come to meet him, “mature” would perhaps not be the word they would use. Displaying a kindness, softness, and compassion rivaled by very few, these gentle traits are ones that have been forged through blood, sweat, and many a tear shed. While the hero is fully capable of handling situations with a sense of duty and seriousness, more often than not, one will find him looking to the brighter side of things. Link allows himself a more childish nature, braving whatever dangers may lurk in his immediate future with a smile on his face and his heart on his sleeve. He refuses to allow himself to fall back into heart-wrenching despair– not ever again. Although he carries himself with an air of strength and confidence, the hero has his moments of weakness, though not without picking himself back up and pushing forward once more.Peace does not come easy to him, restless nights leading to morbid thoughts and terrible memories being some of the many things to plague him. Suffering from anxiety and paranoia, the hero feels as though he cannot rest for long, lest something happen without his watchful eye. The need to be out and about actively watching over things and ensuring everything is peaceful is an itch that must be scratched, making it commonplace to run himself ragged and exhaust himself both physically and magically.Link still sports his iconic green tunic, although it’s a little worn out due to the much wear and tear it has endured. His hair has also grown out much, falling to his rear when let loose. However, he rarely ever lets it out from his hat, keeping it tied and tucked away. He stands at a mere five feet and five inches, but one shouldn’t let his stature fool you. He can, and will lift you and give you a great, big, Goron hug~ Though the Master Sword is not within his possession, he instead carries on his person a customized greatsword forged by the Gorons themselves. It’s about the size of himself, but he wields it with practiced grace and fluidity. He has mastered many skills in magic, although it wears him out terribly when used in a consecutive sequence. He has the uncanny ability of getting himself into trouble in those instances, his magic usually dropping him in random points of time.Time travel is still a skill he has yet to master– Go figure.His body is heavily littered with scars, each of them bearing history and a story he’s able to tell with great clarity. He has a random smattering of freckles on his left ankle and a myriad of beauty marks dotting his body. The Goron Symbol is clearly tattooed in stark black on his left bicep, a mark given to him personally by his Goron brothers and one he wears proudly.

Prelude: After Link fell in battle, his spirit clung to the very earth he swore to protect, refusing to move on until he fulfilled his duty. This lead to the hero’s soul fragmenting, leaving behind bits and pieces on special parts of the land for one worthy of finding them.It was the hero of Twilight that happened upon them, the missing pieces of his soul calling out to him. For each soul fragment found, the hero of time passed down a skill to his successor, and one by one the hero’s soul was completed. Finally, Time could rest easy and enjoy peace along with the heroes of past.What he hadn’t expected was to be met with a very conscious existence, in a place that was indescribable but peaceful, a gentle whiteness with ever shifting scenery. It was there that he met his ancestors, heroes of the past, and his past incarnations. It is there that they relax, converse, and watch over the newest hero on their journey, and it is there that they wait to greet the next hero who joins their ranks with open arms and words of comfort.A hero’s afterlife: The hero of time is constantly observing the lives of the newest hero alongside his past lives, watching over them and wishing them the best. Having achieved this task before, Link is able to manifest himself to newer heroes in many different ways, through dreams, passing thoughts, or even physically. This all depends on the connection the current hero has with their spiritual self.It is also possible for someone random to manifest the hero, again, so long as their spiritual connection and desire is strong enough. This task, however, is very draining since he must disconnect himself from the main hero– a fragment of the soul parting for this encounter to happen.During meetings with the heroes, Time is the only one able to appear before them, the other’s voices being muffled, echoed messes in the distance, Time enacting as their emissary. Again, it is all very dependent on the hero’s spiritual connection as to how long these interactions go, or in what way the hero of time is able to communicate with them.Although wise and undeniably mature, the hero of time still displays his childish ways. It’s to be expected from someone who is able to return to his childlike form, often using it to hide from unwanted attention or tasks from the others. Link Forrest leads a rather average, if not busy, life.He had always dreamed of helping those in need, and thus had decided early on he wanted to become a Police Officer, working the streets to keep them clean and free from criminal activity. The original chief who had welcomed him to the local precinct was fond of the blond, admiring his work ethic and physical prowess in the field. Link's dreams were about ready to come true, all his hardwork and dedication due to be rewarded in time, that is, until the chief announced his resignation along with the man who would be taking his place.The new chief in command, Chief Irons, had the opposite opinion of Link, and thus has made it a point to constantly confine him to office work. Having grown up with his father in Kakariko village, Leu lived a quiet life, not quite leaving the home due to possession of a fragile immune system. It seemed anything would cause the young boy to fall ill, suffering from constant coughs, spontaneous fevers, and terrible nightmares that felt all too real, and as such, was known to suffer from delusions as well. Leu accepted these diagnoses as fact, simply believing he was an unlucky child with an unlucky life, but he made the best of it.It wasn’t until the fated day of the Hero of Time’s awakening that he’d discovered an earth-shaking revelation: He had a twin brother, and that brother was the fated hero to save all of Hyrule. At the young age of ten, Link had lost his mother to illness, forced to live a life on the streets searching for a spare coin. It was not long after that he, along with many other street urchins were rounded up and made to work on a slave ship until the day they were to be sold off to the highest bidder.Three years came and went, the boy watching as many familiar faces were sold and taken away. It was the day of his thirteenth birthday that a potential buyer looked his way.And it was in the very next moment that the ship was raided by pirates.This group of unconventional pirates gathered the slaves, offering them a choice of returning to their lives on land or joining their band. The answer had always been the same, in their experience: The slaves would join life on the ship and assist in the aid of the less fortunate.This beacon of hope to sail the seas was known as The Navigator– affectionately called Navi, amongst the crew.Link grew to look up to the captain, the man being a role model to the growing child. It was then that he passed on his title to Link, appointing him as the new captain of Navi, entrusting him to carry out his legacy for many years to come. It’s not out of fear nor the lack of desire to communicate with the land creatures, but simply because Link cannot speak out of the water. It seemed the air on land did not allow his voice to be heard, no matter how lovely it sounded under salty waters.Nonetheless, it was for the better, for the Merpeople were musical creatures, their songs being heard passed the water’s surface for any nearby sailors to hear. So long as he remained within the shelter of the trees, he would be strong and unhindered, the forests providing him energy, and vice versa, an endless cycle of give and take. Should he leave, the forests would not thrive as well as it would, and he would grow weak and weary, vulnerable as he was when mortal.There were small physical changes as well. Small branches began to sprout from his head on either side, slowly growing over the days until they reached their full growth. Leaves soon grew upon these branches, as well as lush flowers and occasionally, various fruit as well. These change according to season (Oranges for the winter, Cherries in the spring, Peaches in the summer, and Apples in the fall), and more often than not, blond locks will tangle amongst them.It is easy to track his location, for wherever he steps, small flora will sprout, growing even as he walks away. When the lost cross his path, Link always offers to guide them to safety, so long as they keep his existence a secret.

It was suicide to deny such care. Still, the thought of taking flesh and bone, life and limb from another living and breathing person who shared your face? It was insane. Link was unsettled with the entire idea.The process was quick, a call being received for confirmation and a scheduled date for both original and copy to meet for the first time. Formalities, the hospital said. Children were always so cruel in their games, the world perceived at a smaller scale than what it truly was.Riku had always had bigger dreams than what was feasible for a small island to contain. Having been raised by a single mother with whom he shared little to no physical similarities with, Riku was always a reminder of the man that had been absent since his birth. It was a foundation that would push him into near perfectionist behavior, trying to be the man of the house he felt he thought he needed to be. His mother being a beloved member of their small island community, didn’t make matters any easier, causing the silveret to perceive his future as impossibly large shoes to fit.But goodness, did he try.The few things he managed to claim as his own– friends and reputation– he clung to tightly in a worn, calloused fist. Challenging his own perception of the world, reinforcing his childhood promise, and adjusting the lens through which he viewed his own self, Riku went from cocky and self-serving, to more humble and selfless.Achieving the status of Keyblade Master, Riku does his best to live up to the title and be the friend that others deserve, putting his best friend, Sora, as the center of all things to be for inspiration. More people, he felt, needed a friend like him, after all.They were larger shoes to fill than he had previously thought, something he had come to find when Sora had entirely vanished from their worlds. Riku, however, was determined to find his best friend and bring him back home.Despite his outward appearance, Riku is just as much of a fun-loving person as the next guy, though his usual neutral expression may be disarming. Nevertheless, there’s genuine laughter and brightness behind that steely exterior, the false ice instantly melting whilst in the presence of friends. In hand, he’s come to learn to accept when he’s out of his depth and step down for another to take the lead. Regardless of his role in a group, Riku tends to fill it with grace and poise, shoulders broad and posture straight, chin held high all the while.There isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his friends, and so one can always count on him to come through for them.Riku’s the type that’s tough to miss in a crowd, sporting short and spiky silver hair, paired with sea green eyes, whilst also standing at a respectable height among the rest; Even when younger, he was always the tallest among his group of friends, having always stuck out like a nail that refused to be hammered down, be it from sheer will and determination, or something else entirely.His hair is cropped and styled in a manner that allows it to spike out in layers, allowing his hair’s natural inclination to flip outward to take hold and naturally do what it wishes without looking ridiculous. Standing five feet and ten inches, he’s certainly not the tallest around, but a far cry from the shortest. In life, The First Hero was seen as monstrous, a tool and ultimate weapon to be used for war. After the wars were over, he was imprisoned and locked away from the rest of the world, kept in complete darkness where he would live out the rest of his days.That had been the plan, at least.With the arrival of Demise and the fate of the world at stake, Link was released once more to be the people's ultimate weapon. It was then that he was unexpectedly blessed by the goddess Hylia and bestowed a 'gift'. That gift, as it turns out, became the young man's worst nightmare.After having been slain by the hands of the great demon, Link's soul was placed in a never-ending reincarnation cycle, where bits and pieces of himself would manifest itself back into the world every few millennia. The issue with that had been one thing: His soul remains conscious and ever vigil over the lives of each hero, witnessing time and again the lives that are torn apart, as would be foretold by the goddesses and their 'blessing'.He is bitter.The First Hero is bitter and angry and every fiber left in his spirit is exhausted beyond words. It's an exhaustion that only grows tenfold when he's manifested before his successors, their spirits forever connected by an infinitely growing chain of lives, and thus, at times of high enough stress, pull roughly against the chain and tug his spirit to their side.Bitter, Angry, Exhausted-- he often refuses to help beyond clipped words. He cares for his successors-- because of course he does-- but he just needs time to come to terms with his never-ending duty.

Link Löwe was a soul taken too soon, having fallen ill at a young age before, inevitably, passing away from his illness. Tuberculosis was a terrible thing for his time, after all. At least, that was what the doctor had said to be the cause. The timing couldn’t have been worse, though when it comes to suddenly dying, when was there a right time?Link was fighting tooth and nail for he and his sister’s right of inheritance to their father’s estate. Unfortunately, with him out of the way, and many a loophole available to leap through, the inheritance unfortunately went towards their father’s latest wife.What the doctors didn’t divulge was the true cause of Link’s passing: Poison.Clinging to the earth with every bit of his will, having to watch his sister be kicked out house and home, and learning the true cruelty behind his downfall, Link’s spirit grew angry and restless. Ensuring his wrath was felt from beyond the grave, it wasn’t long before the luxurious manor was deemed condemned, the reasoning for on paper labeling it an unsafe structure.With the manor now abandoned, Link remains alone, successful in winning over what had been rightfully his– and his sister’s. Unfortunately, she wouldn’t live to enjoy the empty home, leaving the spirit feeling bitter and angrier at the injustice of it all. With her having not joined him in the afterlife, there wasn’t even a reunion to look forward too.Too angry to rest, Link still remains haunting the old estate, chasing away any other living person from his property, should they dare attempt at claiming it. The estate had a reputation of being impossible to sell, left to rot and decay over witness’s accounts of it being haunted by the devil himself. Convinced he would eternally remain alone in the estate, Link found himself growing lax over the years, gradually feeling himself calm and, perhaps, find himself crossing over soon enough.Until one day he saw a bright, tricolored sign with the words SOLD written in big, bold letters.And that familiar rage burned within his hollow chest once more.

There are no answers, despite how thoroughly he may seek them. All he knows is that the after-life existence he lived through bitterness had now only managed to worsen all the more, the familiar tie he once shared with the other heroes being severed by some outside and unknown force. There is fear, small, but there all the same, not knowing what lies before him and why he is forced once more to fight for survival.He has no host. He has no spirit to tether himself to, and as such, he can feel his spirit being drained from the effort of merely existing. He can touch, and he can feel-- not strange, as he had been able to do so before, when he had his host.But he is fading, no physical presence able to keep him grounded and bound to the world, and the longer he goes without a proper source, the weaker he becomes. Perhaps this time, soon, he will finally be able to rest.In which something goes wrong– terribly, terribly wrong– and the chain is broken, throwing the first hero’s spirit into chaos and flung into the ever shifting ocean of time. Where he lands, it is unknown, but he is weak without a host, and surely, without one to attach himself to, he would fade.He is spiteful.

Sporting an azure mohawk that’s sure to catch one’s eye when amongst the crowds, Galo’s explosive and boastful personality is just as bold and loud to match, but despite all his talk, he’s got the skill and brawn to back up his big mouth. Fueled by unyielding optimism and a deep-rooted belief in doing what is right, Galo stops at nothing to protect those in need, all while getting to the root of the problem. He leaves no task unresolved, for in doing so would bother him too greatly, reason being that he has a big heart and cares greatly for others. He’s compassionate and loathes seeing people hurt.Bearing a respectable height and a healthy mass of intimidating muscle, it’s easy to overlook any other traits he has in favor of labeling the man as All-brawn-no-brain, and admittedly, this is somewhat true. Lacking a suitable attention span, you may often find him drifting off to sleep in the midst of more complex and intellectual conversation. He’s a man of action, not words– those were cheap; Actions spoke louder. Passionate to a fault, once he’s set his mind on something, it’s difficult to stop him until he runs head first into the wall. This may be metaphorically, or quite literally, situations depending.Whilst on the job, you’ll rarely find him wearing his complete uniform, forgoing a shirt altogether, as he finds it to be constricting and “gets in the way”. Of course, he does have some more decency than that, sporting simple shirts when need be, among other casual wear he dawns when off duty. One thing remains the same however, and that is the sleeve to cover his left arm, always keeping it on regardless of day or duties. The scars to litter the arm leave a perpetual sting, much unlike normal flames, and the sleeve’s special material helps soothe the wounds and keep the pain at bay.Together, Galo and Lio combine the drive and their mecha to protect life on Earth while allowing the Promare to envelop the surface, causing the Promare to burn out and vanish completely. The Burnish become normal humans, and Galo and Lio resolve to rebuild the world together.With a world struggling to heal from the damage done, it’s no walk in the park for the newly established Burning Rescue squad in their efforts to aid and assist those in need. The change from old to new isn’t without their consequence, however, many a person’s mentality being stuck in their old manner of thinking– on both human and ex-burnish’s accounts.As conflict arises on both sides, it proves difficult to placate and prevent further manner of chaos without incident, but a fiery determination fueling Galo to do what’s right keeps him going throughout the ordeal. Why can’t people just get along?

In just a few short years, a young boy’s life was altered beyond repair… As fate would have it, a mere child would come into possession of an ancient item, cursed to bear the burden of the angry, warped spirit that dwells within it… His life would never be same thereafter, even with the spirit now gone.Ryou Bakura is a pale boy with medium length, snow white hair that bears blue undertones, and chocolate brown eyes. He’s not too tall, but not too short either, standing at 5'7" and speaking in a soft, respectful manner that, when speaking English, is accompanied by a slight English accent. He’s hardly one to raise his voice, even when in an argument, though perhaps that is due to the fact that he is simply naturally very quiet. His father is Japanese, while his mother was English.Having been outcast by his peers growing up, deemed strange by the other children regardless of where he’s moved, he’s learned to keep to himself and enjoy his own company. Unbeknownst to him, his social exile had been caused by the evil spirit of the millennium ring. The children who came into contact with the boy would be sent into a coma after playing a single, seemingly harmless game, one who’s true nature was of deadly consequence.Reserved as he may be due to this past, he still yearned for the companionship of friends, and he cherished them dearly once gained.
Delicate in manner, it is no surprise that such fragility would be reflected upon his health. Ryou is more susceptible to illness than the average person, fatigue being quick to overcome him. It’s effortless to send his heart pounding after a fright, leaving him winded and dizzy. Frail as he may seem, however, he is sure to put the best of his efforts into supporting friends and allies when they need him.He’s just about the entire opposite of the evil spirit which had often possessed him.It’s difficult adjusting to a life in which days feel that much longer than he ever remembers them being. Free from the evil spirit of the Millenium ring’s clutches, he’s aware of every passing hour, minute– second– and finds that being alone feels so much lonelier than he remembered. There had always been the feeling of another’s presence, despite him having never seen the other that dwelled within the ring, and it was only once the other was gone that he noticed this drastic change.He fills this newly acquired time by partaking in an array of crafts, mostly carving and baking, the latter being something he’s become quite good at. Among these creative outlets, he dabbles in the occult (mainly divination. He has a very well worn tarot deck), along with an array of games of both the tabletop and electronic nature. Visits and hangouts with his friends are common, and he finds those times to be a blessing. It's even better when they come to stay over at his new apartment, those nights being filled copious amounts of take-out food, games, movies, and more.Working part time as a waiter at a quaint little Italian restaurant called LA ROSA EN FIORE, he works hard to continue living on his own, not wanting to continue living off his father's support.Ryou wanted nothing more than to become more independent– to live a life of his own choice.He attends the local university in pursuit of his calling, rather than take up working in his father's museum. Despite hopping from course to course, he feels that pursuing a career as a pastry chef would be the best course of action, away from the career his father had allowed to consume himself with, and away from what is to be expected of the young man.Bakura’s Bakery just had a nice ring to it. It's the path he's chosen to take, rather than the one thrusted upon him.

Affiliated and exclusive to ironbloodcd's AtemEveryone knew they were destined for someone special, their other half that lived their own lives away from their own, two different people, destined to meet and complete each other. With nothing but a name on their skin, one that gradually forms as they grow, it's their only clue as to who their special someone was-- Their soulmate.Every day Ryou gazed upon the name at his wrist, one written in a language that was not his own, shining brilliantly in gold against his pale skin. The name, as he would discover later in his youth, was "Atem", and it was the only clue he knew as to who he had been destined for.It's not until he partakes in a college trip to the land of Egypt that he finds himself nearing the other end of the thread, a meeting that would soon change all aspects of his life.

From that fateful day in elementary school to the turning point trial of his university days, Phoenix's path towards becoming a renowned defense attorney was paved by terrible luck and an awful series of 'wrong time, wrong place'. Yet, it's the very people who rose up in his defense each time that shined a light upon that very path, and while he had stumbled down it clumsily at first, it wasn't long before he confidently stood on his own. Guided by a sense of righteousness and desire for truth, there's very little that would deter Phoenix from speaking or acting out against injustice, even if at the risk or expense of his own life.Though outwardly an optimist, internally, Phoenix can be quite pessimistic. At times, such internal thoughts may find their way externally, often surprising those who know him (Perhaps being labeled a pessimist is a bridge too far though...!) That, however, does little to hinder his uncanny ability to turn the worst of situations around on its head, fighting to seek the truth even when it seems like all hope is lost. Tenacious to almost a fault, as one would describe him; Once he's convinced of something, there is absolutely nothing that will stop him from seeing matters through to the end. Once Phoenix places his trust in someone, that belief in them becomes practically unshakeable; A loyal friend who's unafraid to tell matters straight, he's capable of near brutal honesty at times-- and certainly, this applied to both the good and the bad.He will openly express one's value to him... or unflinchingly criticize one's actions, words sometimes woven in somewhat dark humor and audacity.Most of the time, Phoenix is simply incredibly cheeky.Phoenix has dark hair that is, for the most part, swept back with the ends splaying out in a now staple appearance of spikes that was so undeniably him. His eyes appear equally dark, however, should one catch his gaze in sunlight, it would reveal that cool dark browns give way to dark muted blues. Though usually seen sporting his trademark three piece blue suit, it's not unheard of to see the man wearing casual and loose clothes, even if it renders him practically unrecognizable, if not for his hair. Then came that fateful day in which his target was that of Louisoix Leveilleur, and the boy’s future was changed forever more, using his talents in stealth and thievery and honing them for intelligence gathering and survival. Excellening in both, Thancred soon became an Archon, only to become a member of the Circle of Knowing thereafter. Through there, did he acquire the surname Waters in honor of Thaliak, guardian of rushing rivers and purveyor of knowledge.It was after this that another strike of fate’s lightning would hit: His mission in the city of Ul’dah.
There, he would witness the tragic life lost of Warburton, a death that for all intents and purposes, should not have happened to begin with. With the man’s passing, he left behind his only daughter, Ascilia, to whom Thancred would grow devoted to as repayment for failing to save her father. To protect the girl from her father’s enemies, he bestowed upon her the new name of Minfilia Warde, though his duties meant he was unable to care for her personally, he entrusted her to F’lhaminn, one of the very people responsible for her father’s death.Perhaps this was, in a sense, a plea for redemption and forgiveness for the both of them.Despite this, he had always felt he could have done more for her.He was a terrible father-figure.It was then years later that Minfilia would grow into her own, leading the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, where he would serve under her. Minfilia need only ask, and Thancred would act on her behalf, protective over her in ways not many would understand. For all his efforts in shielding her from harm, nothing could have prepared him for the betrayal he and the Scions faced amidst the bloody banquet. Once he was separated from her, it all grew far, far out of his control.Thrusted into the Lifestream in his and Y’shtola’s effort of escape, Thancred’s aetherial makeup was altered irreparably, causing him to lose the ability of using magicks and to control aether. The loss of such abilities hit him hard, a visual reminder in the form of slightly mismatched and discolored eyes, their original brown and rich color drained to more silvery and grey. Nothing, however, would compare to the loss of Minfilia once Hydaelyn took her as a vessel. Angered and devastated at first, it was only once he had the chance to speak with her face to face again that he accepted this to be Minfilia’s will, as well.He knew she would make him proud; He trusted her and respected her decision.It didn’t make the pain any more bearable-- He felt as though he had failed her again, his promise of keeping her safe, effectively shattered and broken, leaving Thancred to pick up the pieces in ways he knew not how.After these events, Thancred assisted with the Ala Mhigan effort by infiltrating the Garlean provinces. There, he learned the ways of the Gunbreaker from a Hrothgar named Rostik, a skillset he would put into heavy use soon enough. He was then whisked away by the Crystal Exarch, his soul called to the First and separated from his body, where he spent ten years living in the world of Norvrandt. Time passed differently in the First, and whilst Thancred came to see the age of 42, back home, he was still, physically, ten years younger.It was there in the First that he learned the existence of Minfilia’s mirrored role, the legacy which was passed down from incarnation to incarnation, all bearing the same name and destined to become the Oracle of Light.Thancred saved this Minfilia from captivity, teaching her to fight in the ways of the rouge just as he once had fought himself, which he instead took to the role of Gunbreaker. He cared for ‘Minfilia’ and protected her, however, he was incredibly emotionally distant all the while. She was a living, breathing reminder of the loss he suffered once, and couldn’t bear to suffer through it again. With her awakening as the new Oracle, it would mean the loss of his Minfilia’s existence– it was a struggle he fought hard through to accept, though after seeing the girl’s resolve and desire to protect him, Thancred fought to near death in order to see her through her chosen path.She wasn’t taking away the last remnant of Minfilia that he had… She was his second chance, a daughter he could properly care for and do right by, this time.He named her Ryne– ‘Blessing’ in the Fae language.Parting with her when the time came was hard, but Thancred knew she would be able to care for herself. He had taught her himself, afterall, and Ryne had grown into herself in ways that made Thancred’s heart swell with great pride.Yes, he knew she would be alright, but that didn’t mean he never stopped hoping that, one day, they could reunite once again.Having returned to the Source, Thancred kept himself busy by making himself useful in any way possible. It was a strange disconnect, waking up in a body ten years younger than he mentally was, but with time, though he learned to ignore the strange feeling he got every now and then. Of course, with a new world ending calamity at hand, it was rather hard to focus on the small discomforts occurring personally within him. He had a promise to uphold to Minfilia, to fight for the star she loved so dearly, and to live to see the day he would reunite with Ryne once more.Through fighting Hydaelyn herself, sacrificing his own life to aid his friends, and traveling to the very ends of existence– Thancred found himself craving for a moment’s rest. Saving the world a handful of times deserved a bit of a break from routine, didn’t it? Once the Scions officially parted ways, Thancred set forth on his own path.With Urianger at his side through his travels, it’s hard to feel himself grow lonely. Even when he gazes at the night sky, feeling so terribly small under the sea of stars, Thancred feels himself just as close to Ryne as he had been when back on the First. Still, he fights and waits for the day when he could see her again, perhaps this time, as a grown young woman with many a story to tell.

The guilt was sure to slowly eat away at him, but holding onto what precious little memories of his past that he had, he used it to drive his cause forward the best he could.It was only natural that he would fall to the one who bore his dearest friend’s face– heart and soul lying dormant within a puppet vessel that would deliver his end like an angel delivering justice.Finally… Romeo could rest; Finally, he could have true freedom.Or at least, that’s what he had thought.Once more, he had awoken, fixed and renewed, bearing a body that didn’t beg for the release of constant flames licking their way up and down his limbs at any given moment. No longer was his body plagued with the threat of overheating by merely existing, allowing the king to move about freely without the need of a larger, protective (cooling) shell. Whoever had fixed him had made sure to follow Geppetto’s chronicled notes with the utmost care.Vaguely, he could recall a somewhat familiar voice whispering to him, though from where, he did not know.Take care not to waste this second chance, brave one.There was little doubt in his mind as to what his next goal would be: Fix what he had broken, and repay the kindness that had been given to him by paying it forward.

Rather than hold out for hope in the form of being adopted, the boy rose to claim independence, turning down the Matrons' requests of meeting promising couples in favor of playing leader to the other boys of the home.No was coming to save him-- So he saved himself.The children were fickle, as all children were want to do, their loyalties and affections ebbing and flowing like an ocean's current, unpredictable as to whether they would gently wash over you or crash mercilessly. Romeo was a friend to all, but not all was a friend of his. He had made sure of that.There were walls he had built, and only he was allowed to enter and leave at his own leisure.That is, until the Rose Estate was converted into a school, and a very particular little brown haired boy came to stay with them. Carlo reminded him of himself in a way, and perhaps that was what had Romeo lowering his guard and extending the key to his self-made home. Lonely souls were drawn to other lonely souls, it seemed.With age came rebellion, though all more in an act of spite against those who claimed to look after them, rather than out of pure delight of chaos. His reputation preceded him-- the boy from the streets with the strange colored eyes-- who would always bear the blame should anyone get into trouble, acting as scapegoat for the children who meant no harm; Who was then always blamed when the sweets tray went missing, or the boys had begun to fight. Romeo became the epicenter of all that was bad and sinful and degenerate. It mattered not if he had excelled at his studies and classes, outperforming students was though second nature.Romeo was Romeo, the boy from the streets with the strange colored eyes. Nothing more, no matter how hard he tried.A good for nothing shitling who would always have sticky fingers and a penchant for degeneracy.And so he rose to meet such expectations, taking hold of the title with pride and grace, breathing it in with his whole chest and exhaling it with twice the strength. Keith’s infamous Galran temper is one that many find difficult to work with, the former paladin being one to experience difficulty with opening up to others and expressing himself properly to anyone new. Due to emotional trauma, Keith pretends to be off-putting in an attempt to spare himself the pain of possible rejection. Thankfully, he finds it easier to share with his found family, and works on improving himself every day, without rest. Keith is truthfully as goofy and free-spirited as the rest of his teammates, it just takes a little longer for the somewhat stoic man to show this. Over time, he’ll warm up to others and crack friendly jokes of his own.Stubbornness and unyielding determination is paved by Keith’s strong sense of justice and immense courage, unwilling to back down from a fight and not one to waver in the face of trouble. He can be hard-headed sometimes, receiving worry and concern from friends and family, despite his impressive accomplishments from his reckless behavior. Normally extremely perceptive, Keith’s fiery personality shares key characteristics with his Galran mother, Krolia, including a protective streak, a tendency to be impulsive, and a habit of incorporating his own emotional agenda into his missions against the advice of senior officers.Despite his tendency to jump into battle, Keith can be quite calm and cautious at times. He is quick-witted, making many deadpan remarks and observations at other’s expense, particularly Lance’s. He’s notably fond of the outdoors, finding the quiet of the forest and wild lands to be enjoyable.A skilled martial artist, Keith is extremely capable on the battlefield. He is physically the fastest of the team, though he is still learning, but he is an impressive and dangerous swordsman who should not be underestimated. He is also surprisingly strong despite his lean frame and his tendency to stress speed and agility over strength in a fight. Keith’s intensity in battle allows him to bypass his normal limits and take opponents like the Quintessence-enhanced Zarkon on even footing, but does leave him in a state of mind that prevents him from making sound decisions. In such a state he becomes hyper-focused on defeating his opponent as he ignores all outside advice and logic, leaving him more open to attack. Keith’s mindset in this state allows him to think and react much faster than normal, turning him into a one-man army. Aside from physical combat skills, he is also a capable guerrilla fighter and tactician of considerable skill, capable of handling explosives and partaking in diversionary tactics.Keith’s single-minded drive during battles is reminiscent of the Galra Empire’s motto in battle: nothing will stop him but triumph or death. Keith has shown himself to be quickly able to adapt his fighting style to whatever weapon he has on hand, such as his luxite sword. With his ancestral weapon Keith is shown to be adept in not just double-edged swords, but also the single-edged backsword-styled blade favored by the Galran fighting style, common to both the Galra Empire and The Blade of Marmora.Keith travels frequently alongside the now growing, and redefined, Blades of Marmora. Enacting as an inter-galactical relief group, their purpose is to help rebuild and heal the universe in what little ways they can, providing meals, healing supplies, and other aids of assistance. Wether his travels takes him halfway across the universe, or simply to the other side of planet earth, Keith makes sure to remain in contact with the team he’d found a family in, bringing back gifts and souvenirs from his travels every visit he makes to catch up and reconnect.He’s learned much over the years, having gained a bit more control over his infamous Galran temper, as well as learning how to better express emotions to those he’s closest to. Perfection is a far cry, but it’s progress, the underlying fear of losing those he cares most for still looming over his head, but for family, he tries his best.
